Ask Nature
AskNature provides innovators with the world’s most comprehensive catalog of nature’s solutions to human design challenges. This curated online library features free information on over 1,800 (and growing!) natural phenomena and hundreds of bio-inspired applications. AskNature is a project of the Biomimicry Institute, built by and for the community. Since 2006, an evolving team of Biomimicry Institute staff members, volunteer contributors, advisors, and partner organizations have been striving to build a digital platform that connects innovators with the knowledge, ideas, and people that will enable them to imagine and develop circular and resilient solutions to society’s greatest challenges.
Zygote Quarterly (ZQ)
ZQ’s mission is to showcase the nexus of science and design in the field of biologically inspired design, using case studies, news and articles that are exemplary in their impact on the field, rigorous in their methodology, and relevant to today’s reader.
Great Lakes Biomimicry
Great Lakes Biomimicry (GLB) is an entrepreneurial non-profit based in Cleveland that helps organizations learn from nature to accelerate innovation. Since its inception in 2010, GLB has created a biomimicry ecosystem in Northeast Ohio that connects businesses, universities, research, startups, and informal and formal education institutions. GLB teaches companies biomimicry thinking as a new innovation tool through professional development, Innovation Services consulting, and the Biomimicry Fellowship Program with partner The University of Akron, as well as the world’s only biomimicry Corporate Innovation Council.
